Laketown Cat Hospital is equipped to perform spaying/neutering, abdominal exploratory, bladder surgery, mass removals, and eyelid/eye surgery, in addition to a variety of other soft tissue surgeries. Each procedure begins with a complete physical exam and pre-anesthetic lab work. We use a balanced protocol that includes sedation, pain management, and an inhaled gas anesthetic called sevofluorane. During the procedure cats are monitored with an electrocardiogram, a pulse oximeter (O2), a capnograph (CO2), and a doppler (blood pressure) in order to monitor the function of the heart, their oxygenation status, and blood pressure. After anesthesia, your cat is closely monitored until they are fully awake and eating.
